Welcome to United Irish of SW Florida
Official Web Site!
This coming season marks the eighth anniversary of the “United Irish of Southwest Florida”. After the merger of two well established clubs in Lee County we adopted the full name of “United Irish of Southwest Florida” and are referred to as “United Irish” for short.
The United Irish is a society of Irish descendants and spouses who support, celebrate, and take pride in our rich Irish Heritage. We preserve and maintain our heritage, culture and language through social, fraternal, educational and cultural activities.
We provide activities and entertainment for our members and guests in order to promote good will and citizenship, and support worthy causes of other local organizations with whom we share common goals. Hope Hospice, the Nations Association, and Ronald McDonald House are but a small sampling of the many charitable organizations the United Irish supports.
Irish dances, picnics, parties, and parade festivities are just a few of the many events which are planned each season. We are strongly affiliated with the Notre Dame Club, and actively participate in many of their activities.
With over 300 members and growing strong, we are a fun-loving sociable society who enjoy, celebrate and take pride in our rich Irish culture.
Check out our “Events” page to see what’s coming up, and see first-hand the fun we have by taking a peek at our club “Pictures”. If you like what you see, you can join us by filling out a “Membership” application here on this site. Of course guests are welcome to join us at any of our meetings. Click on “Meetings” to find out when and where they are held. Hope to see you soon.
